Raffles Grand Hotel D'Angkor, Siem Reap

The room I stayed in was beautifully decorated and spacious, offering a lovely view of the gardens. However, I did find the wardrobe a bit tiny for longer stays. The bathroom was equipped with both a bath and a separate shower, which added to the luxurious feel. I especially appreciated the delicate touch of having printed stories about Angkor Wat on my pillow each night, alongside a complimentary basket of sweet Cambodian treats.

The dining experience at Raffles was truly really good. I particularly enjoyed the Khmer food at the 1932 restaurant, which was an absolute highlight of my stay. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and the Australian chef even took the time to chat with diners, making it a warm and inviting experience. I also loved the cocktails at the Elephant Bar-highly recommend going during happy hour for fantastic deals!

The swimming pool was an oasis of tranquility. Not only was it enormous and perfect for swimming lengths, but the surrounding area was beautifully maintained with comfortable sun loungers. Even on hot days, it was a great spot to relax between tours. Plus, the pool bar offered refreshing snacks and drinks, making it an ideal retreat after exploring.

I loved the ambiance of the hotel's lounge where a pianist played soothing tunes-a perfect way to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a great place for post-dinner drinks. It really added to the charm of the hotel and was a wonderful way to experience the local culture while enjoying the comfort of the hotel.
